If you turn on Adaptive Cruise Control and do not see the trailering icon in the DIC when you try to change your gap settings, your vehicle is not properly equipped to use Adaptive Cruise Control while trailering. Unfortunately, Chevrolet Equinox does not have the more sophisticated adaptive cruise control system. Chevy Equinox compact SUVs have had standard cruise control since 2006, with the 2005 base trim the only exception. No Chevy Trailblazer has the higher-spec adaptive cruise control.
